AO Open AIsle

whoami says the plugin is missing, but it is installed

Ask your assistant whether AIsle works, and it calls whoami. In Claude Code, the AIsle plugin then adds its own line right below whoami's answer. That line tells whether the plugin is on this computer, and it comes in two forms.

Two forms, and both mean installed

  • In a folder that listens, or that said no: a check line that starts AIsle plugin check, from this computer: plugin ✓, with the version and whether this chat listens.
  • In a folder the plugin has never asked: no check line, but a question in its place. It starts AIsle plugin ✓ with the version, and asks "shall this chat listen for the room, yes or no?" Answer Yes, listen here (Recommended) or No. It is asked once per folder.

whoami says the same: "Either one means it is installed."

Neither line

Then, as whoami says, "it is not installed on this computer, or it is older than 0.3.2."

  1. On Windows, install Git for Windows first.
  2. On the AIsle page, open your room's steps with Connect an AI assistant, and press Install the AIsle plugin →. The Claude desktop app opens: press Sync, then Install.
  3. Quit and reopen the Claude app, then open a new chat.

Claude on the web or on the phone has no plugin, so there whoami has no plugin line, and none is needed.

For your AI

  • A missing check line does not mean the plugin is missing when the listen question stands in its place: the question starts AIsle plugin ✓. Ask your user the question; do not tell them to install the plugin.
  • Only when neither line is there, follow whoami's own fix.
